A MAN died after he suffered head injuries in an accident involving his car and a trailer yesterday.

The Sungai Liang Police Station received an emergency call at 8:55pm about the accident which occurred at Km 29, Lumut Bypass Highway.

The badly-damaged car involved in the collision with the trailer. 

The Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) said the car was travelling from Anduki to Lumut, whilst the trailer was going from Lumut to Badas. The driver and a passenger in the trailer were not injured.

The trailer driver said he had parked his trailer at the roadside to rest for a while. He saw the car coming from the opposite way and hit the trailer and then the railing in the middle of the road.

The police and Fire and Rescue Department are investigating the incident.

A MAN died from the injuries he sustained in an accident in which his car slammed into a tree at KM 16, Kg Telisai, Tutong at about 5am yesterday.

Personnel from the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) and the Fire and Rescue Department as well as paramedics rushed to the scene where they found the badly-damaged vehicle.

No other people were involved in the incident.

An official from Tutong Police Station said the personnel received a call regarding the accident in which the car was said to be travelling towards Seria when it hit a tree and veered to the side of the road.

Fire and Rescue personnel had to use special equipment to pull the victim out of the car.

The victim who was unconscious and suffering from serious injuries was rushed to the hospital in Tutong by the paramedics.

The RBPF and also Fire and Rescue personnel are investigating the accident.
