A FEMALE passenger died at the scene while the male driver survived
when their foreign-registered car crashed into a road barrier at the
Seria Bypass near the exit to Lorong Tiga, Seria yesterday.
At 6.30pm, the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) received an emergency call regarding the car accident.
When the police arrived at the scene, they found the driver and the
passenger, both 29 years old, trapped in the wreckage with the metal
barrier impaling the passenger side of the car.
Several eyewitnesses said the victims were assisted by the Fire and
Rescue Department personnel who were supported by a team from the Brunei
Shell Fire and Emergency Response.

It was believed that the car was heading to Miri from Limbang when it
crashed into the metal barrier. No other vehicles were involved in the
incident.
The RBPF is urging anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward
and share any information that could help determine the cause of the
accident.
