Photo shows the wreckage of the saloon carA twenty-one-year-old local man was killed when the saloon car he was driving collided head-on with a long-vehicle yesterday morning. The tragic accident occurred at around 4am at Kilometre 28 of the Seria-Tutong road.
The victim, who was from Kampung Tanjung Maya in the Tutong District, worked as a security personnel for a local company in Kuala Belait, and was believed to be on his way to his workplace when the accident occurred.
The Sungai Liang Police Station received an emergency call through the 993 Hotline about the accident at 4.19am. The police said that the car driven by the victim collided with a fuel-transportation trailer truck that was heading in the opposite direction, from Kuala Belait heading to Bandar Seri Begawan.
