In order to step up road safety in the Belait District, traffic police from the Traffic Control and Investigation Department of Kuala Belait branch conducted a roadblock along Mumong road.
In order to step up road safety in the Belait District, traffic police from the Traffic Control and Investigation Department of Kuala Belait branch conducted a roadblock along Mumong road.
All passing vehicles were subjected to police questioning and inspection at the roadblock, whereby the authorities were eyeing for illegal car modifications and expired road tax among others.
Ten compound fines and three summon cases were issued to motorists for violating road safety.
The police officers stated that the purpose of conducting such a roadblock was to remind motorists of the road regulations, while aiming to reach the objective of making Brunei roads accident-free.
