One of the accidents along the highway.

Three separate accidents involving seven vehicles were reported yesterday during the heavy rain that fell in the morning. No serious injuries were reported although all the vehicles involved sustained major damages.

At the Tungku Link highway, a saloon car was involved in a self-accident when the driver lost control whilst trying to avoid a puddle and ended up ramming a tree by the roadside. The local female driver said that she could not avoid the puddle despite her best efforts to drive cautiously and slowly.

Meanwhile, two separate accidents involving six vehicles were also reported along the Muara-Tutong highway. One of these incidents took place in the vicinity of the Lugu junction involving another local female driver on her way to work. She lost control of her vehicle causing her to hit the road divider at approximately 7am.

According to the OCS Tutong, no major injuries were reported from the incident although the vehicle suffered damages to the front and rear. He advised motorists to drive carefully and to always use their indicator lights during heavy rains, as well as adhere to road traffic rules and regulations.
