Several errant motorists were slapped with compound fines and summons last night during a roadblock conducted along the Beribi-Kiulap link road.

The operation, which involved 17 traffic police officers, was led by Taun Haji Hadini and Stg Major Samsudin.

According to Tuan Haji Hadini, the operation was part of the continuous effort in promoting road safety in conjunction with His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's 64th birthday celebrations.
Among the offences spotted were: driving with expired road tax or driving licence and modification of car exhaust.
