A lamppost landed in the middle of a road after it was knocked over by a vehicle near Simpang 477 in Kg Sungai Tilong yesterday. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported. According to eyewitnesses, the vehicle veered off the road before slamming into a lamppost. One of the vehicle's front wheels was found about four metres away from the crash scene. To ease traffic congestion, a group of villagers dragged the fallen lamppost to the side of the road.
