The lorry driver being carried on a stretcher after he was pulled out of the vehicle.An accident in Kampong Telisai caused a three-km traffic jam yesterday at around 5pm. The accident involved three cars, two lorries and one SUV.
A 40-year-old lorry driver carrying sand drove off the road and crashed into another lorry, resulting in the first driver being trapped inside his own vehicle.
According to the Fire and Rescue Services, the man was trapped in the lorry for over 45 minutes before the rescuers pulled him out using a chainsaw.
Police and ambulance services were also on hand during the rescue operation.
According to police, the accident is under investigation and there were no fatalities.
