More spot checks were conducted to nab commercial truck drivers who are still flouting traffic rules and regulations.

In the latest roadblock at Jln Muara, Land Transport enforcement officials detected common offences committed by truck drivers as well as vehicles that are not roadworthy.

The offences included worn-out tyres, vehicle body in a bad shape, carrying excessive load and unclear speed limit sign at the rear of the vehicle. A total of 83 vehicles were checked and 42 compounds were issued.

The two-and-a-half-hour-operation began at 9.30am involving 11 enforcement officers led by Awg Timbang bin Hj Sapar.
