Police monitoring the speed trap machine as cars drive past.

A total of 37 drivers were caught speeding on the Hassanal Bolkiah Highway on Tuesday night in a surprise speed trap set up by the Royal Brunei Police Force.

The motorists were caught driving over the 100km/hr speed limit during the one-hour operation.

Led by Sergeant 2938 Bahrin, a total of 24 police personnel from the Traffic Investigation and Control Department of the Royal Brunei Police Force conducted the operation.

The aim of the speed trap was to enforce the traffic rules and regulations as well as to raise awareness and educate the public on road safety.
