The Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) came down tough on traffic offenders yesterday in an operation codenamed 'Ops Tegas' conducted by the Investigation and Traffic Control Unit (JSKLL) at three separate locations, according to a press release.
Thirty-five speed violators were netted and issued with fines in an operation conducted at the Muara-Tutong highway leading to Tutong KM74.4. Another four compound cases and one docket case were recorded in the operation involving 18 JSKLL personnel, led by Sergeant Major 1165 Samsuddin.
In a separate operation conducted at Jalan Gadong KM3.4 towards Gadong and Beribi, two docket cases and one compound case were recorded. The operation involving 28 JSKLL members led by Sgt 2570 Yakop.
Thirteen traffic violators were issued with fines for making illegal U-turns at the Jln Tutong/Tanjung Bunut area in another operation, according to Sgt 2926 Kamaluddin.
