The objectives of this month's road safety awareness campaign by the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF)
and the Land Transport Department (JPD) is to increase police presence on the roads of Brunei Darussalam
and ensuring the Road Traffic Acts and Regulations are enforced.
As a result of the campaign, the RBPF hopes that the numbers of road traffic accidents will be reduced and
assure the safety of all roadusers.
Additionally, the RBPF Commissioner hopes that with this month's current efforts, the public will be
educated and informed about the proposed Demerit Point System, in conjunction with the JPD's efforts to
utilise the system throughout the nation by 2013.
