Offenders are fined on the spot.
In an effort to curb the number of traffic violators in Brunei, especially with the upcoming Chinese New Year celebrations, the RBPF's Investigation/Traffic Department (JSKLL) last night conducted a roadblock at Tungku Link highway.
According to a JSKLL official, 40 errant drivers were caught, 25 of them were compounded and summonses were issued for the rest.
The operation was led by Acting Superintendent of Police Mohd Hadini Hj Othman together with two other officers and 41 personnel. He urged motorists to always abide by traffic rules and regulations.
More of such operations will be conducted in the near future.
