Two people were transported to RIPAS Hospital by ambulance after their saloon car yesterday allegedly slammed into a parked multi purpose vehicle at the roadside in Kg Belimbing.

The impact on the saloon car was so severe that airbags were deployed.
The owner of the MPV, Awang Hussin was feeding fishes at the Kg Belimbing Recreational Park and had parked his car at the roadside.
Recalling the incident, he said, "It happened around 9am, I was feeding the fishes at the pond of Belimbing Recreational Park when I heard a loud bang. I always come here to feed the fish and this is the first time it happened".

"I ran over to the road to have a look, a saloon car suffering a huge damage in front was in the middle of the road and the front part of my car was damaged," he added.

Awang Hussin further said, "Ambulance as well as Fire and rescue services and Police were called in and the driver and passenger of the saloon car were rushed to the hospital."

The impact of the collision had pushed Awang Hussin's MPV to the lamp post that looked tilted a bit to the side.
Six firefighters from BSB Fire station led by DSO Mozliano arrived at the scene to provide assistance. To make sure the road was safe, the fire and rescue personnel also washed away the debris and motor oil from the road.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation by the Royal Brunei Police Force.
