Mohd Azizi leads the pack in the open category race.

The Cub Prix 2011 Championship organised by the Brunei Motocross Minicross Association in conjunction with the first Brunei Bike Week, set off to a great start as 40 local racers participated in the competition.

The competition, which was split into five separate categories, took place at the Jerudong Park Superkart track, with Mohd Azizi bin Jamil dominating both the Kapcai 2 Stroke and Cub Open categories.

Aswandi bin Hj Apong and Norazmi bin Hj Montil came in second and third place respectively in the first heat of the 2 Stoke category. Al Zaim bin Hj Aini finished first in the 4 Stoke category with Azmie and Mohd Azizi in second and third place respectively.

In the Cub Open category, Mohd Azizi came in first position again, with Aswandi and Hj Md Khairul in second and third place respectively.

The Scooter Open category saw Aswan in top form as he finished first, with fellow competitors Mohd Roslan and Mazran in second and third respectively.

The Mini-Bike KSR Open category saw Mohd Amir Husni bin Barahan, Mohd Azizi, and Mazran finishing in the top three positions respectively.

According to the organiser, the championship will run for three days with the finals scheduled for Sunday.
